In Conversation with Megi: The Vision Behind DEMNÉA

As the founder and designer of D E M N É A, Megi opens the doors to her creative world — where emotion meets design, and beauty is never accidental. In this intimate interview, she shares the story behind the brand, her inspirations, and the purpose that guides every piece she brings to life.

What led you to create D E M N É A?

I’ve always been a deeply sensitive person — drawn to beauty, emotion, and the details most people overlook. For a long time, I carried all these sensations inside: images, thoughts, feelings that had nowhere to fully land. Even though I worked in creative fields like interior design, I still felt the need for a space where I could express something more personal — something that came directly from within. D E M N É A became that space.

What excites me most is seeing emotions and ideas turn into something real. The moment a thought becomes a sketch, and that sketch becomes a tangible piece — something you can hold, wear, and feel — it’s almost magical. That process of creation is what drives me. D E M N É A is how I tell stories through objects.

What do you want someone to feel when they wear your pieces?

Confidence — but not loud or forced. A sense of quiet presence.
Each piece is designed as a personal ritual. A way to say: “This is me.”
Not to fit in, but to express. Not to impress, but to feel whole.

What inspires your designs?

Everything around me — but especially what stirs something inside.
Architecture in Milan and beyond, vintage objects, light, imperfections, silence. I collect shapes, feelings, textures. Then I let them speak in lines and volumes.
I trust instinct more than logic when I create.

What does ‘designed with purpose’ mean to you?

It means creating with care — not just for aesthetics, but for how something is made and why.
I use high-quality, sustainable materials, and work with artisans in Italy who share this respect for craft.
Purpose is in the process, the details, the decision to make less, but better.

What’s one thing you've learned so far, on this journey?

That beauty takes time. And that’s okay.
Creating slowly, with intention, is an act of resistance today — but it’s also the most honest way I know how to work. I’ve learned to trust the process, and to believe that the right people will feel what I put into each piece.
